//how is your work different?
Our desire to tell stories, not just provide coverage is what benefits our couples. We like to get to know our couples and really tell a little bit about who they are. I feel this is lost by a lot of other cinematographers. It becomes more of a music video of the day than something that speaks volumes about a couple and their love for one another. Our stories are told through a mix of Super 8mm and HD depending on what medium fits the client. My goal is to provide a film that they will watch over and over again, and complete strangers can feel that same energy and feelings we felt as we captured it. I think the best thing we offer is a short film thats 4-5 minutes that captures the day and tells the story. We give a longer version too with the full ceremony + reception highlights, but nothing touches something you can share with friends online over and over again.
We love couples that have a story to tell. Our ideal client incorporates their personalities into the wedding so we can convey a sense of who they are along with the emotions of the wedding day. We love anyone with a vintage inspired aesthetic.
//how do you describe your style?
I would describe my style as journalistic, nostalgic, and modern. Our style can most be defined by the stories we tell. To us, the story comes before anything else. We capture the interaction between you, your family, and your friends to tell the story of your wedding day. We do not photograph any "cheesy" cookie cutter pictures, or the typical "look at the camera and smile" images. Our main focus on the wedding day is you, and your love for each other.
//where do you find inspiration?
My inspiration comes from stories, music, traveling, art, nature, and culture. I am largely influenced by the French and English countryside. Having been an exchange student in England, I really learned to appreciate the lifestyle and atmosphere of such a beautiful place.
//favorite things to film at weddings?
Details and emotions are my absolute favorite things to shoot at weddings. I find them so important and reflective of the bride and groom. I love the getting ready process on the wedding day. Its a time of such high emotions and its where the threads of a story really begin.

//what did you do before filmmaking?
Before photography, I was an avid traveler. I lived in England as an exchange student for two summers and loved every minute of it. The culture, people, and landscape forever changed who I was and it continues to inspire me today. I dabbled a bit with web design, but soon found that my true passion lived in the content, which led me to photography and filmmaking.
//what do you do when you're not behind the camera?
I love to go road bicycling. Often you will find me riding through Harrisonburg, Virginia with some friends on the weekly classic ride. I also enjoy going to the cinema and writing.
I have many favorites, but Joe Wright would have to be the one that inspired me the most. His style of warm colors and tracking shots reflects most in my work.
